How to Find Your USP in Your Business

by BJ on December 6, 2013

Hey, there!

I am back with some more super-useful Internet marketing and business tips. What I am about to share is a secret I learned at the best Internet marketing seminar by T Harv Eker.

At the above mentioned seminar I realized once again how important it is to be unique in your business. Being unique means being yourself, and that's ultimately the most important thing in life.

USP = Unique Selling Proposition

If you are in Internet marketing, or most other businesses too, you have probably heard of USP already. My point here is to stress on the fact that we actually don't focus on it and don't market it enough. You probably know what your company's USP is, but is your company focused on it?

The most important thing is to think about your USPĀ beforeĀ  you start building your business. Not the other way around. You need to build the business around the USP, and not build a business and then come up with some selling proposition.

What Is My USP?

It is not easy to come up with a USP. It must be something that will make you different and will make your business recognizable among competitors, but there are so many options!

My advice for you is not to put deadlines and terms about your USP. I think it is better to look at it as a process. If you are not certain what your USP is now, work on it continuously until you are sure and until you get it right. Don't try to create the ideal selling proposition in a week. Give your company and yourself time to figure it out.

Everything is a process, just move forward, that's what matters.

BJ.
