Email Marketing Tips – The Money Is In The Value You Give To Your List

by BJ on January 17, 2014

Hi, everyone!

Today, I am talking about e-mail marketing. In my opinion, this is one of the most important techniques that every Internet marketer should master. Here is how it works:

1. Create a list by collecting e-mail addresses on your website

2. Give value through consistent and useful follow ups

3. Create a trustworthy relationship with your subscribers

4. Advertise to your list

To stand out in the Internet marketing business, you need to follow these exact four steps. What happens though, is that most online marketers just do 1.and 4. If you want to stand out from the crowd, you need to give value to your list.

By giving value, you create a relationship with your prospects. They will like you, trust you and connect with you on a non-sales level. Then when you pitch a product or offer to them, they are much more likely to buy, than if you only pitched in the first place.

Look, the people on your list are most probably on a bunch of other lists, too. So your goal is to differentiate yourself, to make people read your e-mails and not just expect the next offer. In this way you gain more engaged prospect customers which are actually going to read your product offers, too.

Put yourself in the shoes of your prospects. You are much more likely to buy from someone who is giving you value, and has a proven knowledge of the area you are interested in.

So my question to you today is:

What Value Are You Giving To Your List?

Start focusing on the value and you will see that this is a completely different approach to marketing than just using your e-mail list for selling. The value you give to your list is your unique strength in the ocean of Internet marketers. That's the way to brand yourself and your company as a favorite newsletter provider whose e-mails don't go to the spam folder.
